Brace the rapids in an explosive rafting experience that has something for everyone! Starting at Drumbo River Base you will spend around 1.5 hours rafting 7km down the Hvitá river that flows from Langjökul glacier and into the famous waterfall Gulfoss. Each raft holds 8 to 10 people and up to 100 people can be on the river at once.
After the rafting trip, hot showers, a sauna and hot tubs are available for use and food is also available from the rafting base restaurant.
Food is available for purchase from the rafting base for an extra cost.
Schedule:
10:00 – Depart Úlfljótsvatn by bus
11:00 – Arrive to rafting base and prepare for the trip
12:00 – Begin rafting
14:30 – Return to rafting base
17:00 – Arrive back to Úlfljótsvatn
Equipment list:
– Swim suit
– Towel
– Wool sweater or other warm fleece
– Thermals under layers
– Personal Medication.
– No cotton clothing.
